About the role: As a Digital Content Specialist, you will apply your passion for creating clear, concise, and on-brand content and copy that helps property seekers better understand the challenges and opportunities within the property landscape. This includes areas such as the property search, buying, renting, home financing, and purchase process, and the brand’s (PropertyGuru and PropertyGuru Finance) role in helping them make confident property decisions. You will create web, email, social media, and other digital channel content, which inform our users, contain compelling calls to action, and improve SEO performance and on-page engagement. You’ll partner with various people - content strategists, marketers, social media agencies, analytics specialists, creative groups, etc. – to identify unmet or insufficient user communication needs and solve them.
Write/edit clear, concise, and useful articles and marketing copy, including (but not limited to) user interface text, videos, emails and landing page content, community/social media responses and moderation, and content briefs.
Social media and community management: Set and implement social media and communication initiatives to align with marketing objectives e.g. creating engaging content and activities, initiating and responding to conversations, etc
Partner with subject matter experts to transform market data and insights into consumer-friendly content that is educational yet easy to understand, while displaying the brand’s thought leadership in the market.
Understand the Fintech ecosystem and be able to write/edit well-researched home financing content, not limited to but including success stories, educational but engaging guides, etc.
Keep a track of real estate/home financing/sector news and consumer trends to brainstorm and ideate content ideas for different channels and across formats.
Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimised for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, video, print, broadcast, and in-person.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field or equivalent education and experience
>2 years of web content production (digital writing) and social media, as well as experience incorporating best practices in search engine optimization, social media, dynamic/video content, and editorial planning.
Experience working with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and good knowledge of
Domain experience in Property and Home Mortgages or Fintech is highly desired.
Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills; can succinctly and clearly communicate complex ideas
Strong working knowledge of SEO principles, and web page layout
Understanding of design principles, web writing best practices, and how content fits into the user
experience; a passionate advocate of user-centered writing
Experience creating a resource or library of content organised, indicating SEO, translations, and version
Experience in web analytics tools (Google Analytics), social media marketing applications (Hootsuite
etc.) highly desired
Experience in managing a small team of writers, freelancers, or related skill sets is a plus
Experience working with e-commerce, technology, or online brands/clients is a plus
Hands-on, hardworking, and motivated by a business in its ‘building phase’ and able to thrive in an environment with a ‘start-up’ culture
Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
