As the VP of Product for the Marketplace business, you will be responsible for identifying and remediating the largest problems faced by both sides of our marketplaces. Your primary goal will be to lead and facilitate the creation of Products that deliver value to consumers and customers and the business. This role is responsible for all aspects of the Product lifecycle from User Research to Design, Development, Growth, Analytics & Metrics to End of Life.
This is a senior leadership role within the Marketplaces business and also within the PropertyGuru Group as part of the Group Management Team (GMT). Reporting to the MD of Marketplaces, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution of innovative and game-changing products & services that build trust in the Property ecosystem through transparency and efficiency.
You will lead the Product organization in multiple cross-functional teams of digital and non-digital professionals to build a suite of business verticals that will drive significant growth for PropertyGuru in the coming years.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated leader to #Createwhatsnext for PropertyGuru and the property ecosystem in South East Asia. You will lead the Product organization and work closely with other functions in the Marketplaces org and other Business Units in PropertyGuru to drive business performance. You are a leader who can create, communicate and deliver a clear Product Vision, retain and attract extraordinary Talent, operate in an outcome-oriented culture, and be comfortable taking calculated risks.
As the VP of Product for PropertyGuru’s Marketplaces business, you will:
Work closely with Senior Management and the Group Strategy function, to imagine, define, and #CreateWhatsNext for Product at PropertyGuru
Have a developed opinion on technology trends to ensure we are investing in the best next-gen technology to future-proof a business that was originally founded back in 2007
Clearly communicate the Product Vision across the Company
Lead the Product Development process meeting key Product and Business goals.
Build and lead a high-quality team of product managers, digital specialists, designers, researchers, and analysts.
Proactively identify industry, customer, and technology trends as well as innovation opportunities.
Build modular solutions which can be applied to some, but not all, of our 9 marketplaces across 5 markets.
Work with other Business Units to support their growth objectives as required.
Manage the Product lifecycle ensuring continuous Product improvement in line with consumer and customer requirements and where applicable, end-of-life decisions.
15+ years of professional working experience, 8 of which is a product/service innovation leadership role in a digital business
A people first leader who engages retains and can recruit extraordinary Product Talent
Strong track record of leadership and comfort with making decisions in an ambiguous environment
Established credentials in managing Product organizations to solve problems that drive business performance with a continuous discovery and delivery mindset
Proven track record of rapidly scaling products and services
Strong organizational skills; ability to conceptualize, prioritise and manage multiple large initiatives
Excellent communication skills to drive clarity on Product Vision & Strategy throughout the Group

Good to have:
Product Leadership experience in South East Asia
Previous strategy consulting experience
Product leadership in a publicly listed company
